About Yuki Yuna is a Hero

Yuki Yuna is a Hero (結城友奈は勇者である) arrives as an action anime by Studio Gokumi (2014), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: Yuuna Yuuki is an everyday second-year middle school pupil. She gets up in the morning, gets ready for school, goes to classes, participates in club activities, and has fun with her companions.

Along the way, there is one extraordinary thing about Yuuki — she belongs to the “Brave Hero Club.” What does the Brave Hero Club do? Who is the mysterious being called “Vertex?” Yuuki Yuuna and her allies’ story takes place in Year 300, Era of the Gods.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Haruka Terui as Yuuna Yuuki and Suzuko Mimori as Mimori Tougou. Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
