In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Lt. Rheindars (Kenyuu Horiuchi) and Melhenna (Emi Shinohara) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 3 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
Production & Appeal
Production sits with MADHOUSE, which means the visual identity of The Cockpit follows that studio's craft. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.8/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Kenyuu Horiuchi as Lt. Rheindars, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 1993, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
