Suna no Bara: Yuki no Mokushiroku

About Suna no Bara: Yuki no Mokushiroku

Suna no Bara: Yuki no Mokushiroku (砂の薔薇 雪の黙示録) arrives as an action anime by J.C.STAFF (1993), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: Mariko Rosebank leads a team of all-female anti-terrorist mercenaries, named C.A.T. This all-woman team is sent to guard a meeting of world leaders against a terrorist attack.

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Mariko Rosebank (Yuko Sasaki) and Helga Mittermeyer (Ai Orikasa) are two of the characters you will meet early.

It will appeal most to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. The run is 1 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by J.C.STAFF, so the studio's house style defines how Suna no Bara: Yuki no Mokushiroku looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Yuko Sasaki as Mariko Rosebank, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 1993, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
