2.5 Dimensional Seduction

About 2.5 Dimensional Seduction

If you are hunting for a new comedy series, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction (2.5次元の誘惑) deserves a look (2024). The setup goes like this. In short: “I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Lilliel.

As things develop, then the new school year sets off, and a (real! 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is?

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Masamune Okumura (Junya Enoki) and Ririsa Amano (Kaori Maeda) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want something light between heavier series. The run is 24 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
