Absolute Duo

About Absolute Duo

Absolute Duo (アブソリュート・デュオ) blends action, ecchi and romance by 8-bit (2015). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. What the story covers: The story begins with Blaze — a weapon that is the manifestation of a human's soul. Tooru Kokonoe happens to be qualified for this, but for some reason his Blaze is not a weapon, but a shield.

Another thread: Moreover, he enrolled in a school that teaches combat skills, and thanks to the school's Duo partner system, he ends up living with a beautiful silver-haired girl.

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Lilith Bristol (Haruka Yamazaki) and Julie Sigtuna (Nozomi Yamamoto) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. The run is 12 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by 8-bit, so the studio's house style defines how Absolute Duo looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Haruka Yamazaki as Lilith Bristol, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. It aired in 2015, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
