Riddle Story of Devil

About Riddle Story of Devil

Riddle Story of Devil (悪魔のリドル) blends action and drama by diomedéa (2014). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. At its core: The story is set at Myoujou Academy, a private girls' boarding school. The 10th year's Kurogumi class has 12 assassins with their sights on one target, Haru Ichinose.

Also worth knowing: Tokaku Azuma is a recent transfer learner who is also targeting Ichinose, but she gradually develops feelings for Ichinose.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Hisako Kanemoto as Haru Ichinose and Ayaka Suwa as Tokaku Azuma. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Because it leans on action, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.4/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Hisako Kanemoto as Haru Ichinose, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. It aired in 2014, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
