TASOKARE HOTEL

About TASOKARE HOTEL

If you are hunting for a new mystery series, TASOKARE HOTEL (誰ソ彼ホテル) deserves a look (2025). The setup goes like this. What the story covers: The "Tasokare Hotel" never sees afternoon, nor does it see night, but rather exists in a state of endless twilight. This hotel exists in a limbo state, as a place that allows souls who have not yet decided if they are meant to pass on to the afterlife, or remain in the world of the living, to rest their wings.

Along the way, the protagonist, Neko Tsukahara, comes across this "Tasokare Hotel" with no memory of who she is or how she came to be there. An employee leads the way and shows Neko to her room, explaining, "In these rooms, there should be items that are related to our guests' memories. These items can also serve as clues to help our guests remember who they were before they arrived here.

In a mystery series like this, clues, misdirection and a satisfying reveal are the hook. Neko Tsukahara (Rika Momokawa) and Haruto Atori (Koudai Sakai) are two of the characters you will meet early. If you count yourself among viewers who like piecing together a puzzle, put it on your list. At 12 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with PRA, which means the visual identity of TASOKARE HOTEL follows that studio's craft. The mystery focus matters here: clues, misdirection and a satisfying reveal are the hook. Its 6.9/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. On the casting side, Rika Momokawa voicing Neko Tsukahara gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2025, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
