About Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara

Looking for background on Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara (魔法少女なんてもういいですから。)? This comedy, mahou shoujo and slice of life series by PINE JAM (2016) starts out like this. At its core: Yuzuka Hanami is a young girl who has few friends but who can do anything. One day, Yuzuka gets accosted by an odd creature named Miton who is digging through a trash dump.

Another thread: Miton tells Yuzuka, "you have the makings of a magical girl" and seems extremely suspicious. When Yuzuka is without warning transformed into a magical girl, she's wearing a bathing suit.

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Voice work is led by Yuuki Wakai as Miton and Akane Fujita as Yuzuka Hanami. It will appeal most to viewers who want something light between heavier series. The run is 12 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
