Battle Athletes Victory

About Battle Athletes Victory

Looking for background on Battle Athletes Victory (バトルアスリーテス大運動会)? This action, adventure and comedy series by AIC (1997) starts out like this. The premise: Akari Kanzaki has just joined an all-girls academy in hopes of entering the University Satellite, an elite sports training facility. She wants to win the title of Cosmo Beauty - a title held years ago by her mother.

Soon after, it's not an easy task for her as fear, doubt and peer pressure get in her way, but friends, rivals and fans slowly encourage her to overcome her obstacles and become the best of the Clash Athletes.

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Rio Natsuki as Akari Kanzaki and Aya Hisakawa as Ichino Yanagida. It will appeal most to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 26 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
