Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Doga Kobo, so the studio's house style defines how WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me looks and moves on screen. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. With a 6.9/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Reina Ueda as Miyako Hoshino, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2019, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
