Scarlet

About Scarlet

Here is what Scarlet (果てしなきスカーレット) is about, retold in plain terms: an action, adventure and drama anime by Studio Chizu (2025). In short: Scarlet, the protagonist of this work, is a princess whose father, the king of a certain country, was murdered. However, after failing to exact revenge, Scarlet wakes up to find herself in the "Otherlands.

From there, in this "Otherlands," filled with madness, it is said that if one does not exact revenge on their nemesis and reach the "Infinity Land," they will become "nothingness" and disappear from existence. Will Scarlet be able to exact revenge on her nemesis without becoming "nothingness"? The story unfolds as the endless adventure for revenge begins.

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Scarlet (Mana Ashida) and Hijiri (Masaki Okada) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 1 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with Studio Chizu, which means the visual identity of Scarlet follows that studio's craft. Because it leans on action, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Its 6.1/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. Voice casting, including Mana Ashida as Scarlet, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2025, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
