Major: Message

About Major: Message

Looking for background on Major: Message (メジャー・メッセージ)? This comedy, drama and sports series by SynergySP (2010) starts out like this. In short: 10 years have passed. Following an injury that put Goro's career as a pitcher into a standstill, he prepares to restart his baseball career as a fielder.

Further in, his family struggles with his decisions; especially his daughter Izumi, who doesn't know enough about her father to understand why he is so absent from their lives. Goro will stop at nothing until he's in the game once again; everything is now for the sake of the only gift he has to offer his children: Baseball.

As a comedy title, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Voice work is led by Shoutarou Morikubo as Gorou Honda and Masakazu Morita as Toshiya Satou. If you count yourself among viewers who want something light between heavier series, put it on your list. With 1 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
