Major S6

About Major S6

Here is what Major S6 (メジャー（第6シリーズ)) is about, retold in plain terms: a comedy, drama and sports anime by SynergySP (2010). In short: The sixth season starts after the "Baseball World Cup" has ended. Goro regained his passion for baseball in Japan thanks to his friends, and left to join the Hornets baseball team in preperation to the new season.

From there, when he arrives in America he starts to celebrate his role as a Major League pitcher at last! Goro's family and friends gathers in groups in Japan to watch Goro's debut in the Major League. However, Goro's debut is the beginning of a line of surprising happenings, that has an outcome no one expected...

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Gorou Honda (Shoutarou Morikubo) and Toshiya Satou (Masakazu Morita) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want something light between heavier series. The run is 25 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

SynergySP is the studio behind Major S6, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. A community score of 8.2/10 puts it among the better-received comedy titles. Voice casting, including Shoutarou Morikubo as Gorou Honda, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2010, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
