About Maken-Ki! OVA
Maken-Ki! OVA (マケン姫っ！ OVA) blends action and ecchi by Xebec and AIC Spirits (2012). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. What the story covers: OVA episodes bundled with the 8th and 11th volumes of the manga.
In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Takeru Ooyama (Tomoaki Maeno) and Haruko Amaya (Noriko Shitaya) are two of the characters you will meet early.
If you count yourself among viewers who like fast, high-impact fights, put it on your list. With 2 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
Production & Appeal
Production sits with Xebec and AIC Spirits, which means the visual identity of Maken-Ki! OVA follows that studio's craft. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Its 6.2/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. On the casting side, Tomoaki Maeno voicing Takeru Ooyama gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 2012, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
