The Dragon Dentist

About The Dragon Dentist

The Dragon Dentist (龍の歯医者) arrives as an adventure anime by Studio Khara (2017), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: The story takes place in Dragon Country. Nonoko is a newly appointed dentist and her mission is to protect the dragon, the guardian of the country, from tooth-cavity bacteria.

As things develop, one day, amid increasingly fierce fights with the neighboring country, Nonoko stumbles on on the dragon's tooth an unconscious boy soldier from the foe country. His name is Bell, and he has been resurrected from inside the tooth by the dragon—a supernatural phenomenon that legend says occurs before a major disaster. As Nonoko and Bell go through a series of fierce clashes, they before long learn to accept their fate.

With adventure at the core, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Voice work is led by Fumika Shimizu as Nonoko Kishii and Kaori Nazuka as Kanne Arisugawa. If you count yourself among anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling, put it on your list. The run is 2 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
