Okami-san and Her Seven Companions

About Okami-san and Her Seven Companions

Okami-san and Her Seven Companions (オオカミさんと七人の仲間たち) blends comedy and romance by J.C.STAFF (2010). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. At its core: Ookami Ryouko is a spunky and, by some accounts, rather manly high school girl. She is tall, speaks in a traditionally masculine way and is very proficient in fighting.

Beyond that: Ookami-san's best friend is the small and high-pitched voiced Akai Ringo. Incidentally, the two are rather flat-chested, a fact the Narrator (voiced by Arai "Kuroko" Satomi of Railgun fame) is all too eager to point out. Ookami and Ringo are members of the Otogi Bank, a club in Otogi High School that assists students with their problems in return for their assistance on a different problem at a later date.

In a comedy series like this, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want something light between heavier series. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
