Miracle Train: Welcome to the Oedo Line

About Miracle Train: Welcome to the Oedo Line

Looking for background on Miracle Train: Welcome to the Oedo Line (ミラクル☆トレイン〜大江戸線へようこそ〜)? This fantasy series by Yumeta Company and TYO Animations (2009) starts out like this. The premise: Another version of Miracle Train: Chuo-sen e Youkoso. The first version of the Miracle Train project focused on the stations of the central Chuo line, while the new anime and related stories deal with the Oedo subway line.

From there, as a result, the anime will feature a newer cast of characters — specifically, Fumi Roppongi, Rintarou Shinjuku, Izayoi Tsukishima, Iku Shiodome, Saki Tochou, and Itsumi Ryougoku.

In a fantasy series like this, world-building, magic systems and creature design set the tone. Fumi Roppongi (KENN) and Saki Tochou (Tomokazu Sugita) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for fans of magic, kingdoms and invented worlds. The run is 13 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Yumeta Company and TYO Animations, so the studio's house style defines how Miracle Train: Welcome to the Oedo Line looks and moves on screen. The fantasy focus matters here: world-building, magic systems and creature design set the tone. With a 5.9/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, KENN voicing Fumi Roppongi gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2009, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
