About Someday's Dreamers

Someday's Dreamers (魔法遣いに大切なこと) arrives as a drama anime by J.C.STAFF (2003), and the premise is easy to summarize. The setup: Yume Kikuchi, a girl who can use magic, goes to Tokyo to be an apprentice mage to the handsome Masami Oyamada (a professional mage). In Tokyo, Yume learns about magic, helping people, and various other things on her way to being a mage.

Soon after, she soon also comes across out that even just magic alone isn't enough to make someone truly happy...

As a drama title, character writing and emotional payoff matter more than spectacle. Yume Kikuchi (Aoi Miyazaki) and Angela Brooks (Akeno Watanabe) are two of the characters you will meet early. If you count yourself among viewers who prefer story and feelings over flashy action, put it on your list. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

J.C.STAFF is the studio behind Someday's Dreamers, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. Within the drama category, character writing and emotional payoff matter more than spectacle. Its 6.4/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. Voice casting, including Aoi Miyazaki as Yume Kikuchi, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2003, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
