Jungle De Ikou!

About Jungle De Ikou!

If you are hunting for a new action series, Jungle De Ikou! (ジャングルDEいこう!) deserves a look (1997). The setup goes like this. At its core: After meeting a dancing old man in what she thinks is just a crazy dream, a preteen schoolgirl embarks on a series of fanservice-filled magical girl adventures with a little creature named Ongo who might be evil and a shy girl.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Eri Sendai as Mii and Megumi Hayashibara as Ongo.

Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 3 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with Chaos Project, which means the visual identity of Jungle De Ikou! follows that studio's craft. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 5.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Eri Sendai as Mii, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. It aired in 1997, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
