Prison School English Sub & Dub

About Prison School

Prison School (監獄学園〈プリズンスクール〉) blends comedy and ecchi by J.C.STAFF (2015). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. At its core: Hachimitsu Private Academy was a revered and elite all-girls' boarding school on the outskirts of Tokyo...once upon a time. But with the new school year comes a revision to school policy: Boys are to be admitted into the learner body for the first time ever.

Along the way, on his first day at Hachimitsu, Kiyoshi Fujino discovers that he's one of only five boys enrolled at the school. Their numbers overwhelmed by the thousand girls in the learner body, is it heaven or hell that awaits these five (un)fortunates?!.

As a comedy title, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Voice work is led by Hiroshi Kamiya as Kiyoshi Fujino and Shizuka Itou as Meiko Shiraki. It will appeal most to viewers who want something light between heavier series. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by J.C.STAFF, so the studio's house style defines how Prison School looks and moves on screen. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. At 7.3/10 it earns a solid reception, a safe pick for fans of the genre. On the casting side, Hiroshi Kamiya voicing Kiyoshi Fujino gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2015, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
