Fafner Exodus

About Fafner Exodus

If you are hunting for a new drama series, Fafner Exodus (蒼穹のファフナー EXODUS) deserves a look (2015). The setup goes like this. In short: The clash against the silicon-based Festums from outer space reaches a new phase. Fragments of the North Pole Mir were scattered throughout the world.

As things develop, in time, they began to act on their own as independent Mirs. Most hated humanity and attacked them, but some chose to coexist with mankind. Some with the same way of thinking existed within the human race, as well: those who were both human and Festum.

With drama at the core, character writing and emotional payoff matter more than spectacle. Soushi Minashiro (Kouhei Kiyasu) and Kazuki Makabe (Makoto Ishii) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who prefer story and feelings over flashy action. The run is 13 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
