Demon Lord Dante

About Demon Lord Dante

Demon Lord Dante (魔王ダンテ) blends action, horror and supernatural by Magic Bus (2002). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. The setup: While sleeping one night, Ryo Utsugi had a nightmare of monsters attacking him. One day he learns a mysterious ability to let him hear voices and have visions of girls getting killed, but one night he hears the same voice.

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Lamia (Rumi Ochiai) and Saeko Kodai (Rie Ishizuka) are two of the characters you will meet early.

Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 13 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Magic Bus, so the studio's house style defines how Demon Lord Dante looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 5.7/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Rumi Ochiai voicing Lamia gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 2002, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
