Morita-san wa Mukuchi

About Morita-san wa Mukuchi

Looking for background on Morita-san wa Mukuchi (森田さんは無口)? This comedy and slice of life series by Studio Gram and Seven (2011) starts out like this. In short: OVA bundled with the special edition of manga volume 3. Morita Mayu is a high school girl.

Further in, she is extremely reticent and her silence and habit of looking at people's eyes straightly sometimes cause misunderstanding. The reason behind it is not because she doesn’t like to talk nor because she has nothing to say. The reason she rarely speaks is due to the fact she thinks too much before speaking, thus losing the timing to speak altogether.

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Mayu Morita (Kana Hanazawa) and Miki Murakoshi (Haruka Tomatsu) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want something light between heavier series. At 1 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
