PLUTO

About PLUTO

PLUTO arrives as an action anime by Studio M2 (2023), and the premise is easy to summarize. At its core: A murder occurs in an orderly world where robots are unable to kill humans. The robotic Europol investigator Gesicht takes the case, but the mystery deepens when he comes across no trace of a human at the scene of the crime.

Further in, as he pursues the truth, Gesicht uncovers the most evil manifestation of hate that history has ever seen, one that is bent on bringing destruction to the world ...

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Kuroo Hazama (Akio Ootsuka) and Gesicht (Shinshuu Fuji) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 8 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Studio M2 is the studio behind PLUTO, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Viewers rate it 8.4/10, which signals strong word of mouth. Voice casting, including Akio Ootsuka as Kuroo Hazama, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2023, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
