Pikaia!

About Pikaia!

Meet Pikaia!, a slice of life, kids and drama anime by Production I.G, OLM (2015). Here is the premise in a nutshell. At its core: The story kicks off in the future when Earth itself is no longer inhabitable by living creatures. Humans began their interstellar migration with space colonies.

Beyond that: Vince and Hana work as researchers in the Cambrian Project. Together with the creature Pikaia, they seek the Lost Code, the key to restoring Earth, and aim to return to Cambrian-era Earth.

In a slice of life series like this, small, quiet moments and character warmth are the main appeal. If you count yourself among viewers who want a calm, character-first watch, put it on your list.
