Sakura Quest

About Sakura Quest

Sakura Quest (サクラクエスト) arrives as a comedy anime by P.A.WORKS (2017), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: Five young women have one thing in common—the careers they planned for themselves weren’t working out. Job dissatisfaction, striving to make ends meet, and personal insecurities lead each of them to start working at a local tourism bureau where their lives become intertwined.

From there, as the girls experience their first year on the job, they learn a lot about their town, their industry, and themselves.

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Yoshino Koharu (Ayaka Nanase) and Sanae Kouzuki (Mikako Komatsu) are two of the characters you will meet early. It will appeal most to viewers who want something light between heavier series. At 25 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by P.A.WORKS, so the studio's house style defines how Sakura Quest looks and moves on screen. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. At 7.1/10 it earns a solid reception, a safe pick for fans of the genre. Voice casting, including Ayaka Nanase as Yoshino Koharu, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 2017, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
