Mirai

About Mirai

If you are hunting for a new adventure series, Mirai (未来のミライ) deserves a look (2018). The setup goes like this. In short: One day, Kun’s mother brings home a new family member. For the four-year-old boy, joy quickly turns to disappointment when the little sister replaces her brother as the center of attention.

Along the way, the boy can’t bring himself to accept her as his sister. Things turn magical when, with an enigmatic garden as his gateway, the boy encounters his mother as a little girl and his great-grandfather as a young man. These experiences change how he sees the world and help him grow into the big brother he was meant to be.

In an adventure series like this, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Otou-san (Gen Hoshino) and Okaa-san (Kumiko Asou) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling. With 1 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
