Gravion

About Gravion

Gravion (超重神グラヴィオン) arrives as an adventure anime by GONZO (2002), and the premise is easy to summarize. What the story covers: The year is now 2041 AD. A new adversary called Zeravire all at once appears in the solar system, destroying all military installations it comes across.

More of the story: However, a wealthy man named Klein Sandman is already aware of this planned invasion and had been secretly preparing his army for fight. His trump card is Gravion, a giant robot that utilizes gravity as its source of energy. Meanwhile a young man named Eiji secretly enters Sandman's base in search for his missing sister.

As an adventure title, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Brigitta (Rie Kugimiya) and Alex Smith (Junichi Suwabe) are two of the characters you will meet early. If you count yourself among anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling, put it on your list. The run is 13 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by GONZO, so the studio's house style defines how Gravion looks and moves on screen. The adventure focus matters here: exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Its 6.1/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. On the casting side, Rie Kugimiya voicing Brigitta gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2002, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
