Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders

About Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders

Here is what Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders (爆丸バトルブローラーズ Gundalian Invaders) is about, retold in plain terms: an action, adventure and fantasy anime by TMS Entertainment (2010). At its core: Dan, Marucho, and Shun get caught up in a war between two different alien factions in another universe, and teaming up with three new brawlers: the Neathian, Fabia, the new human, Jake, and the Gundalian, Ren. They meet these people by them entering through the virtual reality Bakugan Interspace.

Further in, the stakes are high! Will the Battle Brawlers triumph, saving the Bakugan once more?

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Danma Kuso (Yuu Kobayashi) and Chouji Marukura (Ryou Hirohashi) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 39 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

TMS Entertainment is the studio behind Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Yuu Kobayashi voicing Danma Kuso gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2010, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
