Redline English Sub & Dub

About Redline

Redline blends action, romance and sci-fi by MADHOUSE (2009). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. At its core: Redline is about the biggest and most deadly racing tournament in the universe. Only held once every five years, everyone wants to stake their claim to fame, including JP, a reckless dare-devil driver oblivious to speed limits with his ultra-customized car - all the while.

More of the story: Amongst the other elite rival drivers in the tournament, JP falls for the alluring Sonoshee - but will she prove his undoing, or can a high speed romance survive a mass destruction race?

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Travastila Anister (Kanji Tsuda) and Shinkai (Yoshiyuki Morishita) are two of the characters you will meet early. It will appeal most to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 1 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

MADHOUSE is the studio behind Redline, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. A community score of 8.1/10 puts it among the better-received action titles. On the casting side, Kanji Tsuda voicing Travastila Anister gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 2009, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
