Love Position Halley Densetsu

About Love Position Halley Densetsu

Here is what Love Position Halley Densetsu (ラブ・ポジション ハレー伝説) is about, retold in plain terms: a fantasy and sci-fi anime by Tezuka Productions (1985). The premise: This is the very first original animated video produced by Tezuka Productions, about an agent who was sent riding on Halley's comet to the earth. He was actually given an order to destroy the earth.

Another thread: Captivated by planet's beauty, however, he is no longer able to destroy the planet. Seventy-six years later, another agent from Halley's comet is sent to the earth to liquidate this traitor, who is now disguised as a girl named Lamina in Vietnam. Tezuka Osamu oversaw only the original story.

In a fantasy series like this, world-building, magic systems and creature design set the tone. Voice work is led by Kazuhiko Inoue as Subaru and Ryuusuke Oobayashi as Robert. Think of it as a pick for fans of magic, kingdoms and invented worlds. At 1 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Tezuka Productions, so the studio's house style defines how Love Position Halley Densetsu looks and moves on screen. Because it leans on fantasy, world-building, magic systems and creature design set the tone. With a 5.9/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Kazuhiko Inoue voicing Subaru gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 1985, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
