Neo Angelique Abyss: Second Age English Sub & Dub

About Neo Angelique Abyss: Second Age

Here is what Neo Angelique Abyss: Second Age (ネオアンジェリーク Abyss -Second Age-) is about, retold in plain terms: an adventure and fantasy anime by Yumeta Company (2008). At its core: Continuing where the first season left off, the sudden increase of Thanatos with the disappearance of the Aube Hunters has now left Arcadia in ruin. Desperation reigns high as the Religious Organization fights to clash the Thanatos.

Next up: Six months had already past since Hidamari mansion burned to ashes, the Aube Hunters, once hailed as heroes, is now blamed for the appearance of Thanatos. Nevertheless, hope still exists for the reappearance of the Queen's Egg one day, who will become the savior of Arcadia. Unknown to many however, the Aube Hunters have actually been silently waiting for the awakening of Angelique, who has been asleep the entire time.

As an adventure title, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Rayne (Hiroki Takahashi) and Angelique (Aya Endou) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling. The run is 13 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.

Production & Appeal

Yumeta Company is the studio behind Neo Angelique Abyss: Second Age, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. The adventure focus matters here: exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. With a 6.5/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Hiroki Takahashi voicing Rayne gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 2008, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
