Twilight of the Cockroaches

About Twilight of the Cockroaches

Looking for background on Twilight of the Cockroaches (ゴキブリたちの黄昏)? This drama series by Animation Staff Room and MADHOUSE (1987) starts out like this. At its core: Hybrid film with animated cockroaches interacting with live-action actors. In a trashy bachelor pad lived a colony of roaches who were able to roam freely for food or for games.

As things develop, because of the homeowner being gentle with the roaches, they have no fear of traps, spray, or being stepped on. However when the homeowner sets off bringing over a woman over, life sets off to change for the roaches who are already living an easy life.

Think of it as a pick for viewers who prefer story and feelings over flashy action. With 1 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
