I'll/CKBC

About I'll/CKBC

I'll/CKBC blends action, drama and sports by M.S.C (2002). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. What the story covers: Two boys, Tachibana and Hiiragi were once brutal rivals in the game of basketball. Hiiragi soon transfers into Tachibana's school and basketball team.

Soon after, they begin as team-mates, but with Hiiragi's family pushing him to play on a better team. Tachibana and Hiiragi needs to now play against each other.

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Noboru Kaneko as Akane Tachibana and Hiroshi Kamiya as Hitonari Hiiragi. If you count yourself among viewers who like fast, high-impact fights, put it on your list. With 2 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with M.S.C, which means the visual identity of I'll/CKBC follows that studio's craft. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 5.4/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Noboru Kaneko voicing Akane Tachibana gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2002, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
