About Kiddy GiRL-AND

Meet Kiddy GiRL-AND (キディ・ガーランド), an action, comedy and sci-fi anime by Satelight (2009). Here is the premise in a nutshell. The premise: Twenty-five years after Éclair and Lumière, (from the flagship Kiddy Grade series), rescued the galaxy from destruction's doorstep, the GTO (Galactic Trade Organization). Their special ES division mirrored after the GOTT's ES (Encounter of Shadow-work) force, now includes publicly acknowledged ES member candidates.

As things develop, the series follows two such trainees, Ascoeur and Q-feuille, as they work their way to ES membership.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Ryouko Nagata as Éclair and Aya Hirano as Lumière. It will appeal most to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. At 24 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
