Ozanari Dungeon: Kaze no Tou

About Ozanari Dungeon: Kaze no Tou

Ozanari Dungeon: Kaze no Tou (おざなりダンジョン 風の塔) blends action, adventure and comedy by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and Telecom Animation Film (1991). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. The setup: The king of the Tower of Wind seeks the strength of the legendary Dragon's Head, and employs the fighter Moka, the thief Buruman, and the magic user Kiriman to steal it for him. But the Dragon's Head is sealed in the Temple of Fire, and to capture it Moka will have to face the sect that has protected it generation after generation!

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Espre (Kenyuu Horiuchi) and Gazelle (Kan Tokumaru) are two of the characters you will meet early.

Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 3 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and Telecom Animation Film, so the studio's house style defines how Ozanari Dungeon: Kaze no Tou looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Kenyuu Horiuchi voicing Espre gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 1991, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
