Myself; Yourself

About Myself; Yourself

Myself; Yourself (マイセルフ；ユアセルフ) arrives as a drama anime by Doga Kobo (2007), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: For the sake of parents' business plans, Hidaka Sana moved to Tokyo. Five years later, he has become a high school pupil, and returned to his hometown, Sakuranomori.

Along the way, he feels uneasy because the streets of his hometown and his old friend he meets again have changed a lot since five years ago. The most changed thing is his childhood companion, Yatsushiro Nanaka. She used to smile sweetly with innocent eyes, but now she has withdrawn herself and is gloomy.

As a drama title, character writing and emotional payoff matter more than spectacle. Sana Hidaka (Madoka Kimura) and Shuusuke Wakatsuki (Takehito Koyasu) are two of the characters you will meet early. It will appeal most to viewers who prefer story and feelings over flashy action. The run is 13 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
