Triage X

About Triage X

Meet Triage X (トリアージX), an action, drama and ecchi anime by Xebec (2015). Here is the premise in a nutshell. The setup: Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling disease, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of sickness...

Next up: Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the "cancers" of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Arashi Mikami (Kenji Akabane) and Mikoto Kiba (Yui Kondou) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 10 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Xebec is the studio behind Triage X, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. Within the action category, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Its 5.8/10 score suggests opinions are split, so it suits viewers who already like the genre. Voice casting, including Kenji Akabane as Arashi Mikami, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. It aired in 2015, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
