LBX Girls

About LBX Girls

Looking for background on LBX Girls (装甲娘戦機)? This action, mecha and sci-fi series (2021) starts out like this. In short: In an unplanned field trip, Riko is transported to an alternate Japan where metal-based life forms known as Mimesis ravage the realm. Only girls equipped with LBX armored weaponry can stand up to this scourge.

Beyond that: Joined by four other displaced young women, Riko will have to adapt to save humanity. The hope of a planet now rests on these heavy metal soldiers who desire one wish—to return home again!

As an action title, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Saki Miyashita as Suzuno and Rikako Aida as Riko. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. The run is 12 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
