Wedding Peach

About Wedding Peach

Wedding Peach (愛天使伝説 ウェディングピーチ) blends adventure, comedy and mahou shoujo by OLM (1995). Below is a fresh retelling of what the story is about. What the story covers: There are three known worlds--the human world, the angel world, and the devil world. The evil queen Raindevilla yearns to destroy the angel world with help or her many devil minions.

As things develop, the goddess Aphrodite sends an angel to the human realm, Limone, to summon three love angels in the form of three school girls, Momoko Hanasaki, Yuri Tanima, and Hinagiku Tamano, who together become Angel Lilly, Angel Daisy. The three girls has to fight to overcome the evils of the devils, as well as their own lives, and restore peace to the angel realm by gathering all pieces of the Sacred Four Somethings (or Saint Something Four) and defeat the evil.

As an adventure title, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Noiizu (Chieko Honda) and Momoko Hanasaki (Kyouko Hikami) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling. At 51 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with OLM, which means the visual identity of Wedding Peach follows that studio's craft. Because it leans on adventure, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. With a 6.5/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Chieko Honda voicing Noiizu gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 1995, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
