About Dark Gathering

Dark Gathering (ダークギャザリング) arrives as an adventure anime by OLM (2023), and the premise is easy to summarize. The setup: After a devastating encounter with a restless spirit, ghost-fearing psychic Keitarou Gentouga became a shut-in to avoid additional spectral catastrophes. But no man is a haunted island, and Keitarou in time reintegrates with society by getting a part-time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi Houzuki.

Another thread: Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though. She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance, and she’s gravely determined to drag Keitarou into her terrifying realm of grotesque supernatural phenomenon.

With adventure at the core, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Narrator (Yoshihiro Nakamura) and Yayoi Houzuki (Yuu Sasahara) are two of the characters you will meet early. It will appeal most to anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling. The run is 25 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
