The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made Season 2

About The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made Season 2

Here is what The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made Season 2 (真・進化の実～知らないうちに勝ち組人生～) is about, retold in plain terms: an action, comedy and fantasy anime by Hotline (2023). What the story covers: Thanks to the Fruit of Evolution, Seiichi Hiiragi's amazing new life in another world allows him to meet dependable allies and create formidable spells. His abilities catch the attention of Barnabus Ablitt, the principal of the Barbador Academy of Magic, who invites Seiichi to become a teacher at the institution.

More of the story: Coincidentally, Seiichi's classmates from Earth are enrolled there, which will lead to an awkward reunion if he is to meet them. Behind the scenes, however, an enigmatic cult called The Great Devil Order devises a sinister scheme to resurrect their deity and sacrifice the pupils of Barbador to hasten the process. As Seiichi's power is second to none, it is up to him to protect not only his friends but also the entire realm from the looming darkness.

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Saria (Kana Hanazawa) and Seiichi Hiiragi (Hiro Shimono) are two of the characters you will meet early. If you count yourself among viewers who like fast, high-impact fights, put it on your list. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Hotline, so the studio's house style defines how The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made Season 2 looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 5.4/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. On the casting side, Kana Hanazawa voicing Saria gives the lead role a recognizable voice. It aired in 2023, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
