Hakumei and Mikochi

About Hakumei and Mikochi

Here is what Hakumei and Mikochi (ハクメイとミコチ) is about, retold in plain terms: a fantasy and slice of life anime by Lerche (2018). The setup: Nine centimeters (3.5 inches) tall, the tiny girls Hakumei and Mikochi live in the forest. Living in a tiny house in a tree, riding insects and birds, and making umbrellas out of leaves, these tiny girls live a tiny life.

Also worth knowing: Follow their tiny but lovely lives as they live their day to day in a fantastic world of tiny people and gods.

As a fantasy title, world-building, magic systems and creature design set the tone. Hakumei (Risae Matsuda) and Mikochi (Shino Shimoji) are two of the characters you will meet early. If you count yourself among fans of magic, kingdoms and invented worlds, put it on your list. The run is 12 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
