Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by LIDENFILMS, so the studio's house style defines how Kotaro Lives Alone looks and moves on screen. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Viewers rate it 8.1/10, which signals strong word of mouth. On the casting side, Toshiki Masuda voicing Shin Karino gives the lead role a recognizable voice. Released in 2022, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
