Kennel Tokorozawa English Sub & Dub

About Kennel Tokorozawa

Here is what Kennel Tokorozawa (ケンネル所沢) is about, retold in plain terms: a comedy and ecchi anime by Animation 21 (1992). The setup: Pet shop owner's daughter Chika Tokorozawa spends every waking hour with her dog, Rin Tin Tin, who repays her love by watching over her while she sleeps. Based on the manga in Young Sunday magazine by Maki Otsubo, who is better known in the manga world for Mr. Cinema.

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Chika Tokorozawa (Miina Tominaga) and Rin Tin Tin (Jimmy Oonishi) are two of the characters you will meet early.

If you count yourself among viewers who want something light between heavier series, put it on your list. With 1 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Animation 21, so the studio's house style defines how Kennel Tokorozawa looks and moves on screen. Because it leans on comedy, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. With a 3.0/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Miina Tominaga as Chika Tokorozawa, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 1992, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
