STARMYU English Sub & Dub

About STARMYU

STARMYU (スタミュ) arrives as a comedy anime by C-Station (2015), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: The story starts when Yuuta Hoshiya enters Ayana Academy, a school focusing on show business activities, specifically music. The academy has a group of the three pupils with the highest grades in the musical department, and they are known as the Kao Kai (Cherry Blossom Flower Association).

As things develop, this organization stands at the top of the pecking order within the academy. The shortcut to entering the musical department is to enter the Star Frame class, which is directly taught by the members, and to be recognized by them. Unfortunately, due to their own problems, pupils Tōru, Kaito, Shou, Shuu, and Yuuta are all struggling to even remain candidates for the musical department.

With comedy at the core, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Yuuta Hoshitani (Natsuki Hanae) and Shuu Kuga (Tomoaki Maeno) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want something light between heavier series. At 12 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with C-Station, which means the visual identity of STARMYU follows that studio's craft. The comedy focus matters here: timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. With a 6.3/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Natsuki Hanae as Yuuta Hoshitani, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. It aired in 2015, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
