Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire

About Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire

Here is what Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire (Lie Huo Jiao Chou) is about, retold in plain terms: an action, supernatural and drama anime by unknown (2021). At its core: In the current era, a small percentage of people called "Special Abilities" have skills and abilities normal humans do not possess. An autonomous organization, the Deviant Control Office, keeps these Special Abilities in check.

Also worth knowing: Though some wish to maintain this order and peace, some wish to take advantage of their abilities and obtain more power in this world.

In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights.

Production & Appeal

Production sits with unknown, which means the visual identity of Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire follows that studio's craft. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Released in 2021, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
