Patema Inverted

About Patema Inverted

Here is what Patema Inverted (サカサマのパテマ) is about, retold in plain terms: an adventure, romance and sci-fi anime by Studio Rikka (2013). What the story covers: In an underground realm where tunnels extend everywhere, even though they live in dark and confined spaces, people wear protective clothes and lead quiet and enjoyable lives. Patema, a princess in her underground village, loves to explore the tunnels.

Along the way, her favorite place is a "danger zone" that her village prohibits people from entering. Even though she's scolded, Patema's curiosity can't be held back. No one ever explained what the supposed danger was.

With adventure at the core, exploration, new locations and a steady sense of momentum drive the story. Voice work is led by Yukiyo Fujii as Patema and Shintarou Oohata as Porta. If you count yourself among anyone who enjoys travel-the-world storytelling, put it on your list. The run is 1 episodes in total, so you know what you are signing up for.
