New Dominion Tank Police

About New Dominion Tank Police

Here is what New Dominion Tank Police (特捜戦車隊ドミニオン) is about, retold in plain terms: a comedy, mecha and sci-fi anime by J.C.STAFF (1993). What the story covers: In the follow up to Shirows classic anime, Al, Leona and their trusty steed, Bonaparte, continue to struggle crime in New Port Town, alongside the rest of the Tank Police. But a new threat appears in the form of a series of terrorist attacks, using the latest weapons technology.

Along the way, the Tank Police are out-numbered and out-gunned, but Al and Leona set out to discover who or what is behind these attacks. With massive explosions and high-speed chases, Leona often causes more damage than the criminals she pursues.

In a comedy series like this, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Voice work is led by Rei Sakuma as Leona Ozaki and Aya Hisakawa as AnnaPuma. This one is best suited to viewers who want something light between heavier series. At 6 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
