Cannon Busters

About Cannon Busters

Cannon Busters arrives as an action anime by Satelight and Yumeta Company (2019), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: Follow the adventures and exploits of S.A.M, a high-end, royal-class friendship droid who's joined by a quirky, discarded maintenance robot and a brash, deadly fugitive. Together, the unlikely trio embarks on an unforgettable quest in a fantastic and dangerous realm in search of S.A.M's best companion, the heir to a mighty domain under siege.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Voice work is led by Shiori Izawa as Casey Turnbuckle and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Philly the Kid.

Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
